How to Recruit on Twitter and ERE Expo 2012

Last week I served as a panelist for a webinar hosted by Recruiting Trends discussing how to recruit and engage candidates on Twitter.  It was a great session, and I picked up some new tips and tricks when it comes to all things Twitter.  In the social media recruitment and social media recruiting industry, you never stop learning.  While I’ve written about how to recruit and source candidates on Twitter before, the topic bears repeating which is why I’ve designed a pocket recruiting guide for Twitter shown below.

The pocket guide is essentially an infographic and provides a visual detail on how to use Twitter for recruiting.  These kinds of visual tools are appealing as we learn differently while also making social recruiting resources like this easy to share especially on photosharing sites like Pinterest where I’m busy pinning and re-pinning away.  (connect with me on Pinterest)

It’s topics like how to recruit on Twitter that will be discussed next week during the Spring ERE Expo which I’m excited about attending for the first time ever.  I’m looking forward to tweeting, learning, and talking with recruiter and industry thinkers regarding the latest and future trends surrounding recruiting, social media, and talent communities.  If you happen to be attending ERE in 2012, please connect with me.  I’d love to meet you and learn more about you.  I’m also scheduling demos so if you are a HR technology provider and want to schedule a meetup, connect with me directly.

One Twitter tool that’s invaluable are hashtags.  I like to think of hash tags as the library of Twitter.  Topics are ordered and filed by the user using the pound sign of hashtag (#) placed before a keyword or phrase minus the spaces.  It’s one of the best ways to increase your reach and engage with new audiences as you discover different hash tags to monitor and to join in.  In the past, I’ve written about How to Use Twitter Chats as well as The Top 25 Hashtags to Use in HR and Recruiting.  If you are a marketer in the HR and talent industry, or want to connect with industry folks, you should check it out.

Looking forward to seeing you next week at the Spring 2012 ERE Expo.  Enjoy the How to Recruit on Twitter Pocket Guide.
