EPISODE 2: HR INTEGRATION WITH CALEB FULLHART

HR technology is big business and by 2015 is estimated to be a $8.1 billion industry. Naturally, as HR and recruiting leaders add more technology and tools, it’s natural that integration between these systems would be an important topic to discuss. We’re also just a couple weeks from the HR Technology conference in Las Vegas, October 7-10. Systems integration will be on the minds of many in attendance who are looking at new HR technology.

Caleb breaks down some basics for us when it comes to HR technology specifically the difference between on-premise and cloud or SaaS based HR technology. Large HR technology companies like Oracle and SAP are pushing HR departments to move to cloud based. It makes for easier and faster access to HR information. It’s more secure and lends to the paperless and tech resourced focused world we now live and work in. Cloud services are where the HR technology scene has the advantage versus the legacy technologies.

Given the market is so vast in HR technology, it’s also an industry for many buyers that is extremely complex and overwhelming. My guest discusses how to approach the buying and demo process with potential new providers, what questions to ask and why nearly every HR technology company says they are integrated with everybody. Caleb shares insights into the new emerging startups in our industry as well and how to navigate those small startups when looking to add them to you existing technology products used at your organization.
